Chas6D (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a web design, SEO, app design and content writing studio. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal data when you visit chas6d.co.uk (the “Site”), use our free tools, submit a contact/project enquiry, or browse our jobs listings.

2. What personal data we collect
We collect different data depending on how you use the Site:
a) Contact / project enquiry form When you submit the “Tell me about the project” form, we collect:
- Name
- Email address
- The service you’re enquiring about (e.g. web design, SEO, app design, content writing)
- Project details you choose to share
- Any other information you voluntarily include in your message
b) Free tools (Age Calculator, BMI Calculator, Password Generator, QR Code Generator, Unit Converter, Word Counter, Construction & Civil Engineering tools, Background Remover, etc.) These tools are designed to run in your browser. Inputs you type into them (e.g. a birth date, height/weight, or an uploaded image for the Background Remover) are processed locally in your browser and are not sent to or stored on our servers, unless a specific tool states otherwise on its own page.
c) Jobs board If you browse job listings, we do not require you to submit personal data to view them. If a listing links out to a third-party application process, that third party’s own privacy policy will apply once you leave our Site.
d) Automatically collected technical data Like most websites, our Site (built on WordPress) may automatically log:

- Device type and operating system
- Pages visited, time and date of visit, and referring website

5. How long we keep your data
- Enquiry form submissions: kept for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and, if a project goes ahead, for the duration of our working relationship plus a reasonable period afterwards for accounting, legal and record-keeping purposes (typically up to 6 years).
- Enquiries that don’t proceed: deleted or anonymised within 12 months, unless you ask us to keep in touch.
- Technical/log data: typically retained for a shorter period (usually no longer than 12–24 months) for security and diagnostic purposes.
